January Mini Quilt Swap

I have a general question: as you may know, I host the FQ swap and recent months (even accounting for the holidays) participation has dropped quite a bit. Here's my question - what can I do to increase the number of swappers? I am open to any ideas and suggestions. I'd really like for it to continue but it's tough with the same 4 or 5 swappers each month.

Quiltermomma, love your machine, so adorable.
I had to drop out of some swaps due to postage costs skyrocketing.
Also, some people pack a lot of goodies, and I can't afford to pack that many
so I dropped out of a lot of the swaps I was doing due to that. Mainly postage though.
I can always make something extra.

Lynnie, I'm not packing a whole bunch of extra's in mine either. It's maybe a candy or maybe not, I make a couple of pins and a stilleto to go with the colors and that's all. Postage is getting high and it is costly.
Jane for your question, the reason I haven't done it lately is because I'm not into dots, nor 30's or 40's fabric's and I wasn't doing the mystery quilt either for those colors. Another reason is I was getting 9x40 pieces instead of the "fat" FQs ( 18x20) and that really doesn't work for me or they were cut 18x18 or smaller. Ladies were just not paying attention to the rules anymore. I've quit all of them except the mini quilt, pin cushion..and that's done now and the mugrug.
I missed this month for the mini because I was in Washington for 3 weeks and didn't have enough time to get it made and sent by the due date.

Finally the Internet is back on. We had an ice storm during the early morning hours today. A car went off before the bridge taking out a power pole. Here is my awesomemini from KTLQuilts....
