I collect antique buttons and have tons of them, so I added two pink glass buttons to the pc and will add the 3 button to the nc. The buttons were made in Germany (US Zone) I guess before the Berlin Wall came down. I am enclosing the little paper card they were sold on. The nc and pc are not in the a Valentine theme as I wanted to try to meet her requests.
    I hope everyone likes them!

Love what you did personalizing your swap partners PC & NC. The glass buttons are fabulous as are the set. Terrific job, Quiltjoey!

Quiltjoey, that is a very pretty pincushion and needle book. Pastels are pretty, and that button looks very pretty on it. I like collecting buttons. I think the embroidery you did with the initials is such a nice touch on the needle book. Pretty inside too. A very nice set for sure. I am sure she is very pleased knowing you made all her favorites.

I'm so glad you all like them. wasn't sure if everyone would want one, but then only a few of you asked for it, so lets see what our wonderful hostess can arrange. Maybe write her.
When you get my name, I can send you some Hello Kitty fabric. Lol

Quiltjoey I think the personalization was a good idea and love unique buttons that give things a special look. You are doing great! I too like Moda, my favorite is the Kansas Troubles.

Glad you both liked my little hearts. I love those pink buttons! They are perfect with the fabric. Guess I'll have to start using the ones I have. Inherited 2 big tins from my great grandmother and grandmother, use to play with those buttons fo hours when I was little. The round tins are the kind that fruitcakes use to come in....thank heaven the fruitcake wasn't in them too

Lynnie that was a great package that you made. Love the cardinal and the needlecase. Love the pin with Susan's name on it. Quiltjoey you also made a great package. I also collect buttons and those were really nice ones.
I've already gone out and shovelled once today and in awhile I'm going out again. I didn't have to babysit today as my DS is home as they cancelled his school. He was waiting for the plumber to unclog his pipes. It looks like his neighbor's tree roots have broken into his pipes. Not good. It's 12 now with a wind chill of -13 and snowing a lot. I guess it's trying to make up for our mild December.
    Everyone have a great day

quiltjoey, what a beautiful set you made. Love the fabric colors, Love the hand emb. details you did.
it really makes it special. I too collect all types of buttons, and I love the buttons you used.
Jaba, that is how I learned to sew, by playing with my neighbors buttons. she said I can keep whatever I could sew down to fabric. I wonder if she knew what se was doing back then and what a monster she had created of me that day she said I could keep what I sewed??? can't wait to see what else comes in. beautiful work again, Ladies!

QuiltJoey, what gorgeous buttons. and 25 Cents.lol. Wonder what they would sell for now. Beautiful work done on the fabric choices too. Nice that you personalized the needlebook. I think we talked on here before about growing up playing with our mom's or grandma's button box. Lots of fun memories.
