Lynnie you were right about getting a great package. Patches I love everything you made. Did you make the doilies? That is a cute idea for a scissor case. Your purple coordinated fabric and your lovely beaded pins. Very nice. Another cold day here. It was 0 this morning and has warmed up to 17. The dogs sure didn't stay out long today. This was the first time the Doberman barked to come in. Rosemary good luck to you for tomorrow.
    Everyone have a great day

My thanks to everyone who complemented me on my swap package, I appreciate all of the kind words. Having small projects that are easy to complete, and tailoring them to suit their intended person, are just right for me. Too much more and I could get overwhelmed and discouraged. This way I am motivated to doing something creative, which is very cathartic for me. All of this practice is wonderful! lol I am just grateful to be able to sew again.

Pat, I did not make any of these doilies. I have collected old linens, lace, handkerchiefs and, of course, doilies since I was a young woman. In my youth I did make doilies, but my hands won't cooperate any more. But that's okay. I even keep linen remnants because you can always cut away the stained or torn parts and use the good (lacey, embroidered, appliqued) parts and turn them into something else. They call that re-purposing now a days, we just call it making do or being frugal! lol

Rosemary, I am praying for you , too. Please let us know how you are doing when you feel well enough.

the doilies(?) are beautiful and look hand made, esp. the tiny one on the needlecase. I am definitely one to appreciate fine needlework and the antique, repurposed ones. love digging at yard sales for them. people don't know what they have. they treat them like rags. treasure to me.

Hi all, Just checking in to let you all know that I've had a crazy life so far this month. Went to check the mailing date and was relieved to find out I had not missed it. I will be mailing my cushion and case by Friday hopefully or on Monday. Don't give up on me. Just panicky at the moment.
