You can do it! I had never done them before either. I have now made 3, my test one 5 layers and 2 more 6 layers. I'm having too much fun
There is no stipulation on shape and layers etc. the only rule is it must be at least potholder size, or if you go smaller, you must make 2. It does not need to be made as a potholder. It can be a table or wall decoration. And it should be something you would like to receive. (I don't really need to say that, you guys always blow me away!)

Time is running out to sign up. That's why you need to sign up then make a sample if you want. It's just squares folded and layed out like in the video. I sewed around each layer then sewed between the folds to hold it all. I didn't have any trouble sewing it. Want to see mine?? Not going to show ya....it's a surprise remember. lol.

CK that is very pretty and in my colors too. I'll have to send you my address. lol. Chasezzz that does look harder to do. I got confused and I've made them. Everyone have a great New Year's Eve and stay safe.
