Congrats on the new job Louise, hope you can continue to play in the swap.

Onalee, I am not offended if my pals regift any of the things I sent them if they don't like them/can't use them.

Dear pals, your packages are at your local sort facilities, so maybe they'll make it to your house today..woo hoo!

I personally would NOT feel bad should I see something I sent to a SP in an earlier swap show up (in a posted picture) later in another SP package. If someone should re-gift something you sent them in a previous month would you be offended?

I personally could NOT/would NEVER, re-gift a handmade gift a SP or anyone made for me, but say for instance someone sent me a purple thang and I already have a purple thang or say a piece of fabric that I might never use, would it be tacky to send it on to someone else within this swap?
I'm with you onlee, I would never regift a homemade item, however, I would something I had multiples of or something that I don't use or KNOW I would never use. And no, I would not feel bad if someone else regifted something I gave them. My goal anyway is to get my SP things she puts on her list instead of just filling up a bag and then personalizing it later when I got her info. That's just how I do it, not criticizing anyone else who does.

I don't mind anyone passing things on to someone else. If it's something you already have or can't use, but I love the hand made things I've received and never pass them on.

Diana, I hate to disappoint you, but neither of the packages I sent out stayed in SC. Sorry my friend, maybe next time.

we have discussed this topic before but it is always good to discuss again. i am a big proponent of recycling and regifting. i have said this many a time in this swap and any other swaps i have participated in when regifting can be an issue. i regift things i cannot or will not use as i refuse to be a collector of unused items. i have limited space to store things and would want to fill that space with things that i know i will use or if i have duplicates of some things i will pass on the extras. this is my philosphy and it will not change. i let my swap partners know they can do the same with things i send them because i will not be offended.

i can only hope that no secret pal of mine gets offended if they see something they gave me show up in another pals swap gift. i would rather any of my regifting items be used by someone else rather than just sit in a box somewhere unused by me. i have been a recycler all of my adult life so it is a way of life for me. we may all have different opinions about regifting even of handmade items, but surely we cannot expect everyone to feel as we do. but even if some of us may think that others should feel as we do, i am taking the liberty to be unique in my thinking and do differently. so to that i say, "Hi. My name is Mary and i am a regifter."

p.s. to any of my swap pals that may be offended by my regifting philosophy, i issue my sincere apologies to you right now.

It's better to recycle than let it sit unused.
