Sue I bought the fabric for my bag from someone on this board. I knew I liked the bright fabric. and when I saw the bag I thought humm that would look so nice in that fabric for a winter purse. The one bag shown with the directions I thought looked so plain. Are you feeling better since your fall? Hpw's the new site coming?.

Super Happy that I was able to get to the Post Office yesterday as it is freezing rain here this morning...schools are delayed, power lines down in surrounding areas...not a good day for traveling anywhere around this neck of the woods! My pals package should be delivered tomorrow.

Here is a pic of one of the handmade items I made for my January SP...
That's it!!!! It's probably mine! My colors for certain Moe....thank-you in advance! I love it!

Meanwhile ... the unteachable Krystyna has finished doing battle with fabric and machine. I was doing the doll quilt swap this month. The optional theme was "Show Us Where You Live" so, of course, I decided to pull out my templates for the New York Beauty block. Well, I forgot how to make them, but that didn't stop me. I originally wanted to do this as an audition idea for an entry into my guild's challenge. The idea was to do a sun over the water with the sandy beach in front and a little cottage in the foreground.

Ha ha! said the fabric. We don't think so said the thread and machine.

said the quilt police in my head when they saw my binding.

So here's the end result. I mostly used fabrics from my SP's and included some thread painting with luscious glitter thread to highlight the waves. Then I plopped on a bit of gold net lace with sequins over the sun and to form a fishing net at the bottom of the sea. I don't know what kind of doll would use this "doll quilt" -- maybe mermaid Barbie?
Ohhh Krystyna....I really like the colors on this piece on my computer I felt the splash of water!

I was finally able to get the group activity page done today. i have been having terrible back pains since Christmas Eve and they say it is my siatica (sp) hurts to move all the way done to the back of my knee. Goin to see the Dr again on the 17th to see about an MRI or whatever. Also have had broncitist, as many times as I have had it you would think that I would know how to spell it! But anywy have been on anitbotics and neb 3 times a day. I ended up going to ER and sitting 3 hrs before they took me back to see Dr and then waited 3 hrs laying back there. Yucks all those germs I sat around for 3 hours!!!! Sothis explains why I have been remiss in my duties but you can alll go see it now at http://www.quiltingboard.com/groups/...-swap-g11.html enjoy
