Thanks to all of you for your support in our great little swap we do. I have to agree with Roseysue, it does even out over time and we have some very creative shoppers as well as quilters.

Another thing you can send is something you've made. I absolutely love getting something that is handmade, or buttons or even a postcard from your state.

I also want everyone to know that I'm human and do make mistakes. I may have shown your pal has received when I should have been giving them feedback, just one of numerous senior moments.

I love you all and all I want is for continued success with our swap.

    Suzanne

see and these are all things I would love to have but for some reason when I go to the store I never seem to think to pick them up for myself?

My SP delivery confirmation says the package was delivered to the P.O. in the City/State (where Bobby Jindal is Governor) yesterday, January 20, 2011. That means it should get to my SP today. Yahoo!!!!!

About the items sent to a SP. I believe this is my 5th SP swap. When I get a SP name and information sheet, the first thing I do is to go to my "stash" of fabric and my collection of What Knots. I pick out what I think I would like (or can) give to my SP. This time I only went out and bought 3 candy bars. Most of the items I send (other than fabric) were things I made or bought on clearance (I work at WalMart) for $1 or less. (Although it broke my heart, I had a fabulous time when they closed out the fabric, most of the notions and craft departments) I have been in several pin cushion swaps, some block swaps, ornament swaps as well as SP swaps. I must say, although what I receive may not be what I would have gone out and bought for myself, I have never been "disappointed" and love whatever I have received. To Suzanne: As the person in charge of the LAQ Directory, I really appreciate all the time and trouble involved in keeping a handle on this swap and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I think I may echo the feelings of all the members involved in this swap when I say, "I so look forward to both sending and receiving a package each month".

I am so excited to post the picture of my package from my January Secret Pal---CherylW!! All of you are going to be so jealous after you see my wonderful gifts!

First the box was so cute I started with that picture. The contents were very creative and included: Valentine Ribbon and Centerpiece, Fat quarters, Dark chocolate and more Dark chocolate, note pads, nail file, thread, beautiful buttons, chop sticks for turning,(did not know they could be used for that) , instructions and fabric for making a pressing station, pattern for a lap quilt, and a Beautiful box. You can see the box at the back of the picture. It is so nice!!

Cheryl, I can't thank you enough for your thoughtfulness. You put together such an amazing box and it truly made my day.

    Laura
