Some of our people have mentioned having trouble with the bindings and corners on small mug rugs. Here is a nice way to get a good finish without using a binding (cheater binding).

Here's another tutorial for finishing without binding. This is actually a very good demo of the "birthing" method.

Rwquilts that is a beautiful mug rug, and package you made for ljdugas. Everything is really pretty.

Pat your snow scene is so cute. You always have those cute things on your table.

Thank you for sharing the web sites on how to bind easier. What a relief! I think lots of us could use those other options for binding.

Love the campers what an adorable idea! and done very very well by the way.
I think the snow scene is something if I was closer to you I would try hard to talk you out of them because well I NEED THOSE lol.

Cant wait to see MORE! this is oh so fun. and the extras that are being sent are over the top. Wow. to get one of those packages is Christmas right here in July. A real great variety of things you don't know where to look first!

    Hi all,
I'd like to share with you the awesome mug rug and extra goodies I received from ctyankee. The sweet mug rug took me back 30 summers when we were pregnant with our second daughter; I was so sick all summer and the only thing I could keep down (seriously) was watermelon.

I adore the mug rug, ctyankee, as well as the stiletto, thread catcher and um, yea, the package of M & M's you included but didn't make it to the photo. I was good at sharing them though, that counts for something, right? And your note made me chuckle about the first mug rug you made. Doesn't every girl need more than one pair of 'shoes'?

Thanks for being a great swappie. What a fun month it has been.

    Best,
    deb in Maine

Oh dear, my bad. I completely forgot to mention the strawberry is a thumb pin cushion. It's awesome, too. It just feels so intuitive using it.

    ctyankee, you're a genius!
