    Robinlee,

Have fun this weekend. Wish I could join you! I've only been to DC once & I was pushing a stroller around -- LOL! Hope you have a chance to see something at the Smithsonian!

Took the kids to the big firework shows for many years. Now I can enjoy the celebrations on tv and freedom to sew!
My mug rugs are ready for mailing. Need one address. Celebrate and enjoy!

NLC- National Leadership Conference and FCCLA IS Family, Career Community Leaders of America. Which if in my high school years means FHA-Future Homakers of America. There is an expected 8000 student members and about 2000 advisers and volunteers. I am an adviser, but I am not taking students this year, next year they are planning to attend in San Diego. Anyway, I am volunteer to assist the National office with duties and attend Adviser Academy for which I was selected from 50 states and 3 other memberships to attend. Pretty cool coming from a small town school in ND.
So i hope that cleared a few things up.

Yes, staying home and sewing sounds perfect! Hubby just mentioned there is a big parade on the Gulf Coast Saturday that he might like to go to (3 hours away in mobs of holiday traffic). Grrroooooaaaaannn.... NOT what I had in mind. He will hate the crowds, he just forgets.

We will sit in the pontoon, motor out about 20 feet and drop the anchor. We can watch the huge fireworks put on by 5 families.b usually the mosquitoes are so bad we don't stay out long but have several of those thermal thingies that do a great job keeping those nasty buggers away

I'll be watching on the TV. There is no way I will be sitting out in 100 degree heat index watching fireworks! No Sir, not me!

My town is having fireworks next Saturday. And, yes, I will be there! I really look forward to it.

I also will be watching from tv while sewing. It's suppose to rain here.

I do have my fabric for my special person for this month to make her mug rug. I hope she likes it.
