Ube, The nasty attitude had more to do with the person speaking to you and less to do with you personally. Some people are just mean spirited and there is nothing you can do about it but try to keep it in perspective. Just continue to keep a song in your heart and a smile on your face.

Thanks Sewingsew, There was a time I would not have held back on this lady. Today I know better and I am a happier person for it. I think I will sing "You are my Sunshine"

You know Ube, there have been points in my life that I would have exploded on someone for speaking to me that way too, but I have learned to control my sharp tongue and the world is a better place for it. I used to be a stick of dynamite with a short fuse. I took a class on assertiveness training, and now before I speak I ask myself if I need to be passive, aggressive, or assertive. I'm not always perfect with it, but I'm a work in progress. Anger is poison.

I'm sorry Ube the world can be a mean place. So I'm not out of the woods yet but my quilt is done and ready for the Durham Fair.I hate it but its done. Still have a cheer bag to hem, skirt to shorten and two fancy dress gowns to alter and hem. But I found a bargain on our local tag sale site- a folding quilting table for $50! Will pick up Saturday and yep I will post pictures!

Hi J. Yes, please post your work and finds when you get a spare moment! I know almost everyone is busy in the summer. You are extra busy. Keep it joyful!

Ube, I found a Snickers bar in Giant Eagle and it had Grumpy on the label. I bought it for my DH.....sometimes he needs a Snickers. That clerk needs one too!

Will post a picture soon of my WH progress. I did paper piece (and still don't like it) so this is the finale for paper piecing and me. I went for a Christmas theme (because I've had this pattern forever) and did the Small Not So Tall Christmas Tree. Still need to quilt, bind and sew on the buttons. I'll make the deadline.

Enjoy these cooler nights. I am sleeping so much better now that it is not 90 everyday. Can't believe this summer in Ohio. I like hot but it's been too crazy. I didn't even want to sew.

Today is the last day of the Quiltfest in PA. I am going to spend the day enjoying beautiful quilts and looking for bargains. Pictures later.

I picked up my machine without incident, haha.

    peace

One day I will get to a quilt show.....as promised, the hated Mandala quilt entry for the Durham Fair. It only deserves an honorable mention. Ugh! But here is my 36 x 60 folding table on wheels - $50 which also included a bunch of fabric and a Shapecut ruler. I felt bad - the owner tried quilting but gave up. I don't think I will like the Shapecut - it looks really awkward - has anyone tried them?

Here's the WH I am working on. Paper pieced! Last hurrah! I have been trying to post the picture for 2 days and can't get it to download so this is the last try today.
