Ube, I'll look forward to making the wreath wall-hanging. Yours is pretty.

Thanks for the suggestion on the walking foot. The thing is, there is a design flaw with it. I read the reviews on it, and many people had the same trouble. What happens is that one side of it comes apart while sewing. Every time it would happen, I would stop and put it back together again. That became frustrating because it happened many times while I was putting the binding on. This was the first time that I had used the Singer walking-foot. Yesterday I ordered another one by a different manufacturer, and so I'll just return this one. I have several sewing machines, so I have other options. My Viking Quilt Designer has a great walking foot. Good tools make all the difference.

Hey SewingSue that WH is gorgeous! I am the lucky recipient of some of Ube's work and it really is fabulous. Glad your experience was a good one!

Ube I made that pattern for a firend of mine whose dad died. They are fun to make.

My swappee should have received her package today........

Jnct, There were some awesome wall-hangings in this swap! Ube does beautiful work. She just recently swapped a table-runner, and it was just as gorgeous.

My wall-hanging was delivered to somebody's mailbox this afternoon.

Oh, and I meant to say how much I like your wreath Jnct14. It is interesting how each person's interpretation of the pattern can make the wall-hanging look so different. I like both versions a lot.

JNCT, it is a fun pattern and I like how your wreath looks like flower buds. Now I seem to remember you did post this a long time ago and I really liked it then. It must have stuck way back in the dark recesses of my grey matter. I am happy to have the pattern now too!

Companies today just don't get that we want products that work at a reasonable price. It is so frustrating to lay down hard earned cash and receive inferior products.

Anxious to see your first wreath!

    peace

    Default Got mine!

I received my wall hanging from Jan today. It is so cute! I really wanted something with a crow on it and now I have my own. I have it in the kitchen to welcome all.
    Thanks Jan! I love it.
PS. Have friends visiting your lovely state right now.....wish I was with them. I would like to see Mt Rainier again and Pike Place.

That is a very attractive wall-hanging skaduzy. It looks great on your kitchen wall. Birds seem to be a common theme for this swap.

Sweet harvest pumpkins from Jan.I like this folk art style. I agree Sewingsew, I am drawn to birds and have used them several times in quilts. I love crows but have never done a crow quilt. Hmmmm! Lucky Skaduzy.

Quilts are coming in slow this time around.

Thats a great wallhanging skaduzy! I so want to make a bunch of felt bird ornaments. I hope I have time. Cheerleading season is over so maybe....
I think I received my WH this morning - DH brought it in from mailbox where UPS had dropped it late, but I could not open it - was rushing out the door to vote and go to work. Working late tonight too but will make time to open for sure if its the WH swap.....

The anticipation would give me stomach cramps. I'd have to be late for work and open that package.
