What is threadpaint?

Thanks Judith. Straight stitch is good for me then. I will join next month. I just didn't want to be the only one not doing what I was suppose to as I thought.

I think threadpainting is defined as using free motion quilting to create a design or fill in or outline an existing picture on your quilt. I first heard the term when I took an online portrait quilt class but my skills are not good enough to do it. I added the minute men by downloading a silhouette and tracing on black fabric that had double sided fusible web. I did a tiny satin stitch around the edges. Thanks
