uh oh. did i get drafted into making sewing machine covers? my sp didn't request one this time around but when i catch my breath i will make a coupla of them, including at least 1 for me.

right now i got 3 quilts that need to be out of the door in the mail this week and a whole mass of pet mats that i am trying to get finished and to the rescue groups this weekend. i got 9 pet mats made so far and a stack of cut up comforters and mattress pads just waiting to be made into mats. and in the middle of all this i am trying to keep cool. it has been brutal here heat wise.

K~where HAVE you been "Silent Woman"? You can't still be working on those veils when DH is on vacation.....I know you are out shopping somewhere and breaking the fabric fast
No breaking of the fabric fast! I've been good!
We've been out and about since Rod's on vacation ... and I found a Living Social deal for Koko Fit Club - $35 for 30 days. So we bought it to try out. I really love it ... but I am a little achy after the initial strength test. They had me doing curls with 75 lbs and Rod had to do 100 lbs!!! Easier after that test.
We came home, tidied up and went out to lunch... back home and I promptly fell asleep in my chair!
I'll get chatting more when he goes back to work.

Hav that is very nice that you made mats for the animals.... I have no sympathy however for your heat because it can't be hotter than Texas.....

It could be used on handbags, clothing, mounted as a little piece of art, made into a hot pad etc. Here are some sites that might give you an idea about what I'm talking about. The first is general info the second gives you more an idea of what the pieces look like. Mine tend to be about 4" to 6", tho I also have some small ones that were meant to be book marks. I would love some input on this as the stuff is pretty fast to and fun to do while I'm watching TV.

I may have a newbie..I am not sure but I almost have the package ready to go. I suspect I will be mailing on the 5th! We have a couple of the same favorite colors and she did give me a great list of "personal likes and wants". Her zip adds to 12 and she wanted something handmade. (It will not be jelly...never made that in my life!) I am much older than my sp but that is not saying a lot. I suspect I am older than most of or all of you... That is it for the clues!!!

I know it is me! My zip adds up to 12 and you are in Maine. You definately could throw a stone and hit me. Not sure what part of Maine you are from. You may even know me personally, since I am always going to quilting guilds, classes and retreats. How else would you know that I am cool? BTW what does IMAO mean? So sorry you are not feeling well. Get well wishes and prayers.
