Off Topic just wanted to show what I am working on. It's a baby quilt for Marty's chemo nurse, Jessica. It is called Baby Honu by Lisa Boyer. The turtles are 3D. paper pieceing which I love! The white is the paper still attatched. turtle bodies are 2 pieces of fabric right side together then sew ALL around outline of turtle and then cut small slit to turn right side out, same with the shells then they are applicaed (sp) all around the shell, which I have to work on lol. But I should be real good at it by the time I get done! lol
Lori love the Turtle quilt... and the colors are great... The way you are doing the turtles makes doing them easy,, do yuo machine sew them down??/

The shells are the same you put the 2 right sides together and sew all the way around and then cut a little slit on the back side and turn it right side out . You only have to sew around the shell (I tried to do zig zag) and that holds everything down!

I want to thank Wendy (IrelandDragonQuilting) again for
the awesome SP package I got last week.
Sorry it has taken me so long to get the pictures posted,
I am working most if not ALL week so I am trying to get
sewing done for a wedding on Saturday, get a doll quilt
finished, AND make a mug rug for a swap on another website.
Without anymore waiting here are the pics of my awesome
gift.
FIRST picture:
Large "paper clip" stand
Box of note cards with matching pen with bird motif.
Mini backpack keyring
Glue stick
2 Real Lemon drink mixes

Second picture:
Bird pincushion pattern
McCall's Quilting Magazine
Sticky note pads

Third picture:
By far some more AWESOME homemade items.
Bird pincushion in a basket "nest" (pattern in previous picture)
Purse size sewing "kit" has seam ripper, threader, thread, needle
gripper, scissors, needles and pins.
This is going into my purse for sure.

Wendy again THANK YOU!
Just how lucky was I this month? not only was she my SP for July
but she is also my doll quilt partner.
Double awesome.
