Lisa773 and I swapped our quilts over the telephone today. I received this Dresden Plate quilt. I'm sure you will agree that it is beautiful. I love the octogon shape and the pieced binding is really great too. Along with the quilt, she generously sent beautiful fat quarters as well as a sachet that she made with lavendar from her garden. It smells so wonderful. Thank you so much Lisa. Your work is beautiful and anyone would be lucky to have you for a swap partner.

Dresden points remind me of the ties my dad would've worn in the 40's. Neat quilt, Linda

I mailed this to Elly, and I think she got it, although I haven't heard. It's got a Wizard of Oz theme, since she seems to like that! The sashiko stitching around the perimeter is yellow, like a yellow brick road. The red section has ruby sparkles and the green satin button in the center is for the Emerald City. :D

Lavendula, you really thought outside the box, that quilt is spectacular! You really enhanced a theme, not only that it is so fantastic. Great job.
