Hi there- the way I made the doll quilt -use two different color of fabric -I like using hand dyed and batiks - you can put steam a seam 2 on the backs of each and when finishing the weaving process iron it on to a piece of muslin - but I find it makes it too stiff - cut one fabric with vetical lines using a rotary cutter making sure to leave a 1/2 inch uncut border on top-you cut gentle curves about 1 to 2 inches wide-------then cut the other fabric horizontal with gentle curve all the way accross -I numbered the horizontal strips on the end just incase they got mixed up-now all there is to do is weave starting with strip #1- I have done this technique several times and it surprises me everytime the different looks that come out!

I needed some major quilting therapy this weekend to take my mind off of some things, so that's just what I did! Started my June doll quilt Sat. night at 9pm & sewed until 1am! Worked on it some more yesterday. I now have my parther's doll quilt ready for binding, maybe tonight. If so it will go out to Nancy in Louisiana in tomorrow's mail.

Only one problem though...I like it sooooooo much that I want to keep it. It is one of a kind. Made it completely with fabric from my stash. The main fabric was a FQ and none of it is left, so I can't make one for me too. :(
