Why don't you all wait until I post the new signups on Thursday before you post pictures, OK?

AAWWWEEE that's not nice. i'm drooling at the keyboard, waiting.
I know, I should be happy with the picture i've got already.

On another note, Does anyone object to their pincushion being made of beautiful purple velvet???
I just got back from the store and found just what i was looking for!!! Dh took me and i found a
very nice velvet just what i needed for the design i thought of last night about4:30 am when i couldn't sleep.
hopefully, it will sew up the way i planned. alot of people were buying purple, and i thought maybe someone is joining in on the swap. but no.
have a great night all. just had french dips for dinner. yummy

Since everyone likes pictures, I took a couple of my next door neighbors flowers. When I sit at my sewing machine and look out the window, this is what I see.

Karen those flowers are beautiful. I like having all seasons, but I do miss seeing the flowers when it gets colder.

I personally love Velvet but don't like sewing with it, made a Christmas Tree Skirt out of Blue Velvet 3 years ago It had Silver Lamae . That's not going to happen again to this gal... It was beautiful... Then during the year her dog chewed a bunch of holes in the side and I had to fix it for her... She can't even sew on a button and has two kids.. LOL...Enclosing a picture of that one and a red one I made...

are those beautiful flowers, rose of sharon or hybiscus. whatever, they are just lovely.those little white ones are pretty too. a great view. wither way!!!
Me and velvet don't get along to well. but sometimes, it just has to be. That tree skirt is beautiful. WHat was that lady thinking even letting her dog look at that beautiful tree skirt. she must be nuts. Sorry, but she must be stupid, not knowing how to sew on buttons, and not only ruining that beautiful tree skirt, but giving it back to have it repaired. I'd have been to scared or embarrassed. I'd have taken it to a dry cleaner for repair or a quilt shop.
Anyway, i'm off to crochet a bit. just put a row on my hexes. my hands, back and fingers are killing me. worked on it for about 6 hrs today. thats enough for now. tomorrow...the pincushion.

Karen pretty flowers thanks for posting. Sis I still love the snowman one. The velvet is pretty but I love the snowmen.I've always had a soft spot for little fat bald guys with dark eyes....lol.Pretty quilts under them. Lynnie does your purple p.c. have a theme or is it going to be a fancy p.c.?

well, it's got a theme, so far for now (Unless the quilting gods decide otherwise)
it's 'under the sea' purple of course. so let your imagination run wild.

I have happy smiling snowmen under my tree, each snowman is differently
clothed, (hat and scarf) but the faces are the same.

warm here today and clear and sunny. thanks for the good weather all of
you who have sent it my way.
