Karen what a cute flip flop pincushion. I did go to Laurie's house today and she has been sick with various things one making the other worse but she seems like she's on the mend. So she said to tell everyone that she is ok and trying to get with it. She did mention about July's swap that's in about a week.

Pat, thank you so much for checking on her. Now I can breathe a little easier. I was hoping that it wasn't anything serious. I've been doing some sewing today. I signed up for the mini quilt swap here on QB and have been working on that even though I haven't talked to my partner yet. I'm sure she will like it.

I'm glad that she's sort of ok too. She said she did have to call you when things turn around. I haven't done a bit of sewing since the pincushions for June. I have one more week to babysit for this summer so far

Karen that flip flop is absolutely gorgeous. That is the cutest one I have ever seen. You sent out a great package. I hope your lucky recipient joins us soon to tell us how much she loves it, because who wouldn't?

Thanks all for your kind thoughts for my sister, besides my dad. My sister is doing better today. She was sedated a lot last night, but finally slept today. She was mostly aware of things today which I am so thankful for. They said she had sepsis with everything else going on. I am hoping she gets to go into a regular room tomorrow. Yes we have had so much illness going on in our family it scares me to even answer the phone now.

I am so glad that pat got to see laurie.

Sounds like some are already getting busy with their pincushions/needle books.

    Happy Sewing Everyone!!

Susan, glad your sister is more alert, that's a great sign.

Karen, awesome flip flop pc! Hang in there, Susan. Praying for your family and for you! My crew is better today after getting on antibiotics. Five of seven of us had strep throat. Ugh.

Why is it when people know you can thread a sewing machine and sew they want you to replace a zipper, hem their pants, replace pockets and etc for nothing or a dollar or two. There is a difference between sewing and mending.
    I don't like mending!

    (commenting on Klaws's post)

I don't know what's worse...not receiving a 'thank you' or when asking did you get my package the answer is 'yes' and nothing more.
I like the thought you put into it with the colors and theme. Very nice swap.
