Hey guys. I started a thread here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-45464-1.htm where I'm brainstorming ideas about my center. It'll be for my Dad so I'm really wanting this to be good and special. I'd appreciate any input.

Here's my center. I am including a journal for everyone to add some thoughts too.

I am going to use an extremely intricate paper pieced scene that was gifted to me by a dear friend! It will make the PERFECT center for this quilt!

OMGosh I love that center where did she get the paper piecing pattern. I can already think of fun stuff to border it with.

I haven't gotten far yet. My quilt will be called "Calm Energy" and I'm (we're) making it for my Dad. So far I've narrowed it down to two applique choices for the center: windmills in a grain field or a lighthouse at night in a storm.

Haven't touched one piece of fabric for this project but I want to know what I'm doing for the center before I get into that. Plus I'm asking Dad what he'd want. I know the other rounds are out of my hands (and I expect them to be surprising and womderful!) so I'd better make the center as close to its title as I can so people can build on it appropriately.

So yeah... lots of thinking but YAY I'm so excited to be doing this. And to have Dad ask me for a themed quilt too. The timing seems to be coming out just right.

I am stalled at the moment - lots of ideas but none that have jumped out and said "That's it!" This is my first round robin so I am excited to be part of this creative group.
