I have had a few requests for the Potato bag pattern that I sent to my SP. So here is a copy of the PM I sent to some of you. Maybe others may want it ias well?
******************* Oh and I have found another pattern on the web that is basically made the same way. It is quilted and has a potato applique on the front. http://www.atimetostitch.com/potato_bags.htm (you may have to wait for the loading on this page. I have it as a pdf if you can't get it to come up.)

I made mine in a class. The instructor just told us what to do and she had the pieces cut out. I hate classes like that. I love cutting and all. I took it home and jotted the direction down. It's pretty simple. You can add your own design. I found the potato material on line. They also may have it at your LQS.

    Potato Bag Directions:

Cut one 27" by 11" of each: Lining (muslin), cover and 100% Cotton Batting ( this contains no metal and metal and microwaves don't get along) :)

Lay teh cover and lining right sides together. Lay Batting over lining.

Sew around edges leaving 3" opening.

Turn and top stitch 1/4 " from edge. enclosing opening.

Fold up one short end about 11" and pin sides.

Fold down top flap and pin.

    Sew sides together.

    You're finished!

This is my first Secret Pal thing. Am I supposed to take a picture of what I send and post it or am I to photograph and post what I receive? I think I should photograph and post what I receive because I don't want to ruin the surprise. I hope someone answers this question so I can take my package to the mailbox (sooner the better because I really like what I bought and I don't want to change my mind!) Thanks Ya'll

Thanks for the answer. I didn't want to screw up on the very first thing I try. I'll leave that to the second.
