Leslie, I usually wait for my SP's info sheet so I can buy from that, then I might throw in some extras. Others will throw a pkg together 1st then wait for the info sheet. It's a personal preference really.

It's kind of a mix. I set things a side, buy things, make things and if it fits in with that month's SP, then I include it in the package. I try to avoid sending things like something pink to some one who says they hate pink. A lot of what I had set aside I've begun to use up, tho, so it's time for me to go a buying again. I also leave the price tag on things I buy until they go in a package so I know how much I've spent. I'm eagerly awaiting the names this month as usual.

I made a Barbie, well actually it was Skipper(she was so much cuter) cake for my daughters 8th birthday. Cooked the cake in a metal mixing bowl with a bundt pan center placed in middle. It was a little tricky getting the bundt cake center out with out tearing it to pieces... Turned out cute but I would never try it again. I have decided as I get older that sewing is so much more fun than cooking.

Now my hubby does all the cooking, he is an experimenting cook, some are really good, some not so much! But he brings it to me in my sewing room and even cleans kitchen.

Boy o boy, Got my SPs names and I'm ready to go. Gonna go shopping for some things and start packing. Can't wait to get started. Both zip codes added together equals 49. Both of them are going way north of me.
