Got a great package from Jaba! All kinds of lovely stuff. Will photo tomorrow when the light is better, but there is a beautiful table runner, chocolate raisins, flat pins (which I was about to go out and buy as I'm taking a class next week that requires them, THANKS!), piecing thread, AND a new ruler I needed Will go PM you and our hostess now before I forget.

Ok, SP -- I'm going to get that Thing you wanted done today and hopefully the stuff in the mail tomorrow

Looks like some of your state is in a Tornado Watch. I don't miss that at all.

It's amazing how much one phone call can change not only your day, but your year, and probably your life, if previous experience is any indication. Was planning on working on my guild challenge quilt and something for my SP, but picked up the phone and it was the exchange student coordinator. Hosting another student was not on our radar, we thought we were done (this would be number 8). But coordinator is retiring this year and wanted us to have this one student who she thinks if perfect for us. So we filled out the paperwork, if approved (should be no problem) we will be hosting a 15 year old girl from Korea for the school year!

Quiltingdragon, good luck with the foreign exchange student. Our first one was wonderful and we are friends on face book. But the second didn't work out at all. We had boys since we had boys.

Don't know if you all remember back in February I couldn't participate in the swap because I had to go to Florida to be with my mom who we all thought was at death's door. She nearly died, but suprisingly when she was placed in a hospice she miraculously got better and better, did rehab and was sent back home. She is still battling ovarian cancer but doing much better. My dad sent me a pic of her today and she just looks so wonderful and happy, actually the best I've seen her look in years! God has definitely blessed her and I'm so happy just had to share. Here's her pic, she will be turning 80 in July.
