March 2010 Doll Quilt Swap
#701
Here is the quilt I received yesterday from Penny Doty - And the April Fool's joke is that she says it's her FIRST quilt -- I say she has a great future in producing fine quilts. I am so proud to be the owner of this little beauty. And check out the goodies she sent along. I couldn't wait to try the bath salts (homemade, no less - the best!!) The crocheted-edge scrubber is really clever, and the biscut basket with liner is fantastic (I'm always looking for a liner when I serve rolls -- this sure beats the dish towel I usually end up using). And the blue fabrics are a very welcome addition to my stash -- I'm always looking for blue bits for this and that. Thank you so much, Penny; I will treasure the quilt--especially because it is your first (I still can't believe you gave it away). I hope to be able to swap with you again in the future. God bless.
THIS is spring! (And this is sideways - oops)

Nancy, I think you need a different partner for April. :-( I don't think I can come close to the quilt you have just received. I'm feeling the stress!!!! I will do my best. Enjoy all your goodies :-)

Esq - your green cat is adorable! Love it, such a cute pattern and the fabrics really stand out.
Between family and friends I found myself finishing a couple very old quilts top, hand pieced...from the 1930's...I fell in love with the hand work those ladies put into those blocks. Another new passion became buying vintage blocks from estates, etc. I just can't stand they are not enjoyed, so I decided I would start sewing at least one into the backs of all my finished quilts!
