I took these pics of my favorites from the last two packages that came in. GannyRosie had some beautiful Rowan fabrics she used:

Those are lovely, Gannyrosie and obrienwv! I wonder if I'll get any?

A big day today! I'm ready to mail tomorrow!

Thanks for all the pix of the wonderful blocks. I’m looking forward to seeing my package of 80 turn up in my mailbox in a few weeks. Woo hoo. In the meantime, I’ve been making more. (Help! I cannot stop.) I’ve got 32 singles I’ve made for myself and about 30 more just in case we do this again.

Yay NZQuilter! I'll watch for your blocks. We are getting really close now. If the last few come in early, we swap early!

Ladies those are wonderful. I'm so excited to get all of your blocks. Like Janice I can't stop, won't stop and I may be drowning in 9 patches soon. .

You will be able to make more quilts! Aren't they great for using up scraps? Maybe we won't all have a scrap problem soon. That's hard to imagine...

By the way, I plan to start sign ups for the second go-round of this swap, about a week after I swap and mail the first swap blocks. The blocks will be the same for the second swap-- all colors without solid whites or cremes-- so we can use them with the first group if we want.

Next time the rules will change a bit. I think we can swap up to 10 bags of 10... they will fit in the envelope. And I am going to have everyone put a mixture in their bags, so I can just swap bag for bag. So next time every block in your bag will be different. Each bag can have the same mix, just no duplicates in any one bag. I have already been doing this with your shipments as I get them, so I can swap bag for bag. Otherwise, I would drown trying to swap 1600 blocks without messing up!

But I'll go over all that again in the second swap sign up. Just giving a head's up since so many of you are making blocks ahead.

From what I have seen so far, everyone is making beautiful, perfect 6.5" blocks. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for posting the pics - I check this site every couple of hours hoping that there's an update! I have been finding so many different quilt patterns that use scrap nine patches - it is just amazing! Can't wait to find my package in the mail! This has all happened in just a little over a month -unbelievable!

Obrienwv, would love to see some of those patterns. Can you post links?
