This could be an option for this round of wall hanging swap ... just have to figure out a couple of things:

    do I do a 4x2 wall hanging

or do a do a 3x3 wall hanging - EXCEPT i'm out of light yellow fabric for the triangles on the edges / corners ... so would have to do either a completely different block or different colour ...

    Thoughts?

I posted these in this thread: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t276902.html

    Each block is 6x6 inches!

Marion the blocks are awesome. How about putting them on point, 3, 2, 3. Or maybe make a a simple ohio star for the center patch of the nine block layout. What ever you chose, it will be fabulous.

Great blocks Marion, and I really like your color combination. Personally I like the 3x3 design. How about a center block with applique?

Beautiful Marion, either way would be great! You're way ahead of me, haven't even thought of it yet.

So here's the blue block ... Ube ... I like your suggestion too! If the blue one doesn't win the prize, I'll go with that!

Thanks so much everyone for looking, and all the suggestions. I've said it before, but it's worth repeating ... I so love getting all different kinds of feedback from everyone ... I might not use what someone suggested, but it's always in my mind for next time! (Because, in quilting, there is ALWAYS a next time!)

hey Marion, I'm not liking the blue center. In other pictures on my PC the colors look bluer, in this picture the colors are more gray and yellow so the brighter blue looks out of place, imho. Do you have enough of the gray tones to try another block?

here is the second tessellation quilt. The top is done but I might add another row of pinwheels around the outside for a border. We will see!

Yes, the ruler came with the pattern. It's a whole 1 1/4"sq and a prime tool for getting lost.
