well, we got more snow. they are finally here to plow the walkways up to the door. it's freezing and we got 6 1/2" so far of the four letter word:snow. it's not stopping till 8 pm, so I figure we'll get another few inches.
Wanted to mail out my pkg today, but can't get to the car. will need my son to shovel out my car again.

we have a guy here who shovels out cars for $40, he must be rich by now this year.

This is the first time I haven't had any snow. It all went down south of me. Ky had 15" and what a mess. I bet Susan had some snow. I'm not complaining as I've had enough. $40 to shovel out cars wow that would be a good part time job.
    Everyone have a great day

some as small as 20 cars others ABOUT 40. eVEN IF HE ONLY GOT 1 PER LOT!!!
He has since hired a few to help out. but for dh and me it's $80. it's that or I stay
    in till it melts.

Oh my Lynnie....I bet not mailing your package is really bothering you. Your always first or almost first to mail your swap. A lot of snow here is melting today Yeah.... T.V. predicted 29* for a high but it was 35* by 10 a.m. It's gone up to 37* and lots of pretty sunshine all day. They also predicted 64* by Saturday. I'll believe that when Saturday gets here and I read the thermometer. stay safe and warm ladies

    Hikeaddict,
I remember those cramming days...good luck to you on getting to the next stage of your career!

    Quilty-Louise,
    Happy you're doing some better..

    Lynnie,
I hear ya on waiting for snow to melt. Though we live in the "Boonies", so we are the shovelers..

I'm finishing my needle book, then it and the pc will be off to my partner.

Mary, it's bugging me like you have no idea at all. i'm antsy over it, but I;m snowed in car wise.
I always get my swap pkg late, but these past 2-3 months, I've had early shippers and Jaba surprised me today.
Thank you Jaba, great gifts. please post a picture for me. First off, there was some candyd, but I ate most of it. Thankyou. I needed that today. And they were my favorites too. then she sent me a nice card, A basket made of fabric, a great pincushion. she stitched non skid rubber thingy to the back of the walnut filled pincushion. what a great idea and a duh, why did I never think of that moment!!! it's green shades with a shamrock on it. the basket for threads and stuff has a shamrock on it too, the basket is made of the same fabric as the pincushion. pretty shades too. She also sent some of those clips. trying to get me hooked on them are you?!?! I can see now why everyone sings their praises. the pc also had a loop for hanging on it. The needlecase is a little bookwith 2 felt pages and machine needle and hand needles and pins and a fancy pin in it. thank you Jaba for a great swap gift. love the little book CUTE fabric too. love it all. great sewing skills and perfect workmanship, very nice gifts. Thank you again for a really nice package and a great swap partner.

Lucky Lynnie and Jaba beautiful colors. I love the button and loop to the thread catcher. Such a great idea. Mine will be going out tomorrow to my partner and I can't wait for her to get it. I've had such fun making it for her. I had it made 2 weeks ago and then decided to redo the nc. Now that I am pleased I am eager for her to get it. Maybe it will bring a smile or two for her while the weather is so dreary. My parcel will be headed North, since I am in Texas there are a lot of possibilities.
Here is a sneak peak at my partners surprise.

I got great goodies from Jaba. love the 'trashbag' part of it

just put it in the sewing room. thanks for posting pictures for me.
I can really use the trash part of it. I always have threads hanging around.
now they won't be on my lap. thanks again for being a great swap partner/
