Lynnie pullets are girls. They are going to be for eggs for us to eat. We need to wait about 6 months to start getting eggs. I'm keeping them in my laundry room in a cage till they can go outside . They have a light to heat them and it will still be to cold out in a couple weeks for them ,so they will keep the lamp in there new house for awhile at nights. They eat ground feed made just for chicks. I will close the laundry room door at nights so the peeping doesn't wake us. Oh boy Jaba can't wait to see your basket.

Mary those are so so cute. Makes me want some too. If I had a chicken coop built I would probably get some too. Sometimes when my son and daughter in law would go on a trip, me and my husband would go over to feed and water their chickens, dogs, and cat for them. It was fun!

looking forward to seeing the basket.

Mary, thanks for 'splaining me 'bout the pullets. I'm just a urban girl. There is a farm the next road over. but that's about a mile away. In the summer when windows are open, we can hear the rooster crowing in the morning. Seems he likes to talk a lot too. Your babies are just too cute. so fluffly and Easter looking.

The chicks are very cute. I've always wanted a few chickens, just for the eggs & because they're so pretty. Deb, you have a couple of tiny blue chicks, I noticed; they're adorable. And, Mary, yours are just as sweet!

Oh, & the baskets are beautiful! Everyone has done a marvelous job with this month's theme!

My sister's sister in law had chickens that laid colored eggs. She said they were Easter Egg chickens. light blues pastel green, pink, yellow ect. Over here, no one has heard of them. have any of you? I know i'm not crazy b/c i saw the eggs with my own eyes. Help!

Yes those are arcanas. I'm sure that is misspelled. The eggs are a little small, but they are great layers and brooders. Because of the colored shells they are nicknamed easter egg layers. Your not crazy. lol. Can't wait to see more baskets.

Pat, I love the plants you showed us above. I lost my brain by the time I scrolled back up. I just love seeing all the new growth and things ready or are blooming showing us spring. People around here have been mowing yards. I love the smell of fresh cut grass.

Such cute lil chicks!

Love the woven basket you received Bilben. Green is one of my fave colors.

JuneBillie,
You're doing great on your pp blocks!

Regards,
Kif
