Thought I would post another picture of my babies. They are 1 week old today and look at the wing feathers already. They just grow so fast. First picture shows truer colors. I have really loved all the baskets. Some real talent shown here. Wonder what will be next for april? Thanks for hosting

Mary, thank you for the pictures of your new babies!!! They are getting big now. I see the bird feed they eat. is that all they get for now? do they stay in the small box all day long, or do they go out with the big chickens, or will they bother them. Thank you again for taking the time to show us the chickens growth. Please continue to show us.

What a cute basket. I made a purse a couple years ago with that same fabric. Good job. Going by the mat it's on it is a good and handy size. Lynnie the box the chicks are in is just temp for a couple more days. It's inside a wire cage. It's pretty big they're in a small corner of it. It's maybe 30 " x 18". Their feeder is about a foot long and there is a pint mason jar in a watering tray for them in there too. lots of playing room. If I still had other chickens they would kill the babies and the babies need a light to help heat them for a few more weeks. Till it warms up here at night and they are bigger .

Mary, love the chicks! My sis is in the process of building a separate pen for chicks, her hens are getting close to "that age" and she sells her eggs, so she's planning on getting another batch of chicks that should be old enough to take over the egg laying by the time her hens are done laying.
