Oh Mary, what a wonderful lunch bag!!!! I love the colors, and the slidy thingy too!!
Love everything about it. Now that it's done, and you used the laminate, will you
do it again? How hard was it, or was it just the first time making it that took you
awhile to get the hang of the fabric? She is going to LOVE it!!! If she doesn't, you have my address.

Mary you did a wonderful job on that beautiful lunch bag. She will love it, and that purple is so pretty with the other colors in the bag. We all call it purple, but it looks like a pretty soft lavender. When I was a teenager I painted my whole bed room lavender, and painted the trim white. I loved it. My mother then bought me a lavender and white chenille bedspread.
Mary I love your little peeps too. They are so cute at that size.

Thanks ladies. Lynnie, I made the bag differently from the pattern and also using the laminate was different for me and the pattern. Sewing a circle bottom was a challenge with the laminate as it kinda sticks to itself and the sew mach. Circle bottoms usually are just a little extra work not like this stuff. Susan, I also did the same as a young teenager. I loved lilac and so I painted mine that color. I also had a chanille spread it was washed so much it was almost white in reality it was pale yellow with a big basket of flowers in the center. We were poor and my room looked so pretty when it was done. even with the plastic flower print curtains. Remember those? ha ha

Mary we were poor too. I do remember those plastic curtains. They added such pretty colors to the room though didn't they. I had forgot all about those plastic curtains until you brought that up. Wow, those days were something, and special too. So much is taken for granted these days, and like you said when we finished painting our rooms, we felt so proud. I loved those chenille bedspreads.
