great to see you back Mary. It kinda scared me off at first. but seriously, go to Pintrest and get some ideas, You'll see just how easy they are to make. I'm a bit hooked on them now. I think they will be Christmas gifts this year for my friends. a great go to project to make a head of time or last minute. THey are really easy and fun. Thanks for picking this topic Teresa!

Thanks ladies. Lynnie the mystery train quilt started today. I've had a problem with my right hand and have not been using it much (typing ect.) so it will heal. I was trying to open a stupid bottle of water and I couldn't break the seal,sooo..... of course I gave it more pressure and got a slight sprain. I never had one so hard to open. Anyway I made most of my basket and it is really big. The pattern was miss marked and I didn't want to recut the fabric and waste it. So,whoever I get will get a pretty big basket. It will be useful in the sewing room though. Just looks huge. I'd show a little hint but I'm afraid I might not get a partner then.lol. Have a good evening all.

Mary mine is about 9 x9 x 3 give or take I don't know if that is big or not.
Pintrest has a zillion baskets, with and without handles on them.
they don't have to have handles, mine doesn't. just have fun with it.
Look around a bit befor doing it and you'll be making them as fast as you can!

Mary, hope you're feeling better soon. I strained my hand doing EPP. a quilting accident!

Mine is 9x9x4. My son says "That won't hold water" I told him that wasn't a requirement! Just finishing my embellishments. I got to use a tool I've had for years and never opened! Too much fun.

Lynnie I already made mine today. It's about 10" tall and about 14 " square. It has handles and a zipper bag divider and some pockets to. It's nice, but BIG. lol.

I think mine is a little different, never made one of these before. Lots of thread involved....already gone through 2 bobbins and it's not done. 3 rd bobbin will be charm I think It's a varigated turquoise color, I think I could get addicted to making these.

Mine uses batiks and i'm not done building the sides yet, so not sure how tall it will be. I'm going to put a handle on it, so that will increase the height. Once I get the body finished, it must be embellished to really set it off. I'm not going to want to give it up!!!
