Catjo: Thank you for a lovely package. My favorite was the beautiful purple and gold Asian fabric. I like everything and appreciate you sending it all to me. Included was a garden marker, a flower magnet, 10 fancy note cards, 3 other Asian printed fabrics, flower seeds, a closet buddy, nips candy, a tea bag caddy, a nail file , St. Paddy's Day socks, a pincushion, a magazine and a pattern booklet. I will enjoy everything.

Happy Birthday to all you March babies. And what a doll baby Cora is! I will be hitting the mattress as soon as I finish this post but will be saying prayers for all of you that are suffering, esp your hubbie Renae that he will have a correct diagnosis and will get the treatment he will need.

Teresa I'm with you I don't even think of the bench till a week after deadline, my package went out today(opps its yesterday now) Brenda if you're on that bench keep it warm for Teresa and I if we have to come over next weekend. Maybe there will be some leftover birthday cake to snack on.
Lots of great packages arriving. dabbler you get a gold star for redoing the package so you could take a picture for your sp. I'm usually doing good to get it in the package to begin with, and am usually mailing on the last day or the day before, once in awhile I'm earlier, but then my sp doesn't have to wait so long before the next swap.
ok going to look for that pillow now. zzzzzzz

I 'make' them myself starshine. I was making a Labyrinth quilt the other week and thought how much easier it would be if I could ensure the labels didn't come off (or stab me to death, lol) and - voilą!
I pinned them in the 1/4" seam of the rows so it would reduce the risk of leaving holes and I was able to press the rows without worrying about labels falling off.
As you can see from the photo I bought a gross of pins so I can include sets of these in my swaps.

Happy Birthday to all the birthday girlies. Wow the SP packages look gorgeous, I am getting very excited now. The one I sent should arrive at its recipients house any day now. The alphabet pins are a great idea. My sister was laying out blocks on my mums lounge floor the other day . they all had little post it stickers on and my nephew Sam decided to plough through the whole lot. He ended up with post its allover his clothes and the quilt blocks got all muddled up. Luckily I had taken a picture on my phone for her.

WandaLou, love your box contents, but especially that DMC cross stitch ladybug. If you decide you don't want to do it - and you happen to get my name as a future SP, or just because, you can send it here. Everyone's boxes are pretty nifty. I'm getting ready to head out today, so will hopefully post pictures of a wonderful SP box when I get home. Wonderful day and sharp needles everyone!!

    Hello Everyone -

It seems like eons since I was on QB.com and I sure miss you all. I think I have worked everyday and evening since 2/1/13. My workload has increased exponentially and we have a new CFO who is gung ho to make a good impression before his trial period is up. Ever heard the expression "trickle down"? Well, the workload has done so. Anyway, I have not sewed one thing in 2013 so far.

Going back to NJ and DE on 3/28 - 4/6 to see my kids and grandkids - 1st time in 2 years and I can't wait. Of course, I'll have to do some work remotely, but it will be worth it.

Have made a great effort to be healthy and get my knee arthritis under control. To that end, I joined Weight Watchers and have lost 23.6 pounds since Jan 10th. Still have more to go than I care to admit, but it's going to get done and I'm looking forward to a new wardrobe. But at least my leg is no longer in constant pain and my limp has improved. No more cane, either. Stairs are bothersome and I take those slowly, but the situation is improving and I'm getting stronger every week.

Other than working, I have not had much of a life this year. The plan is to retire in January and time is already flying by. I think I'll be able to join the Swap again come May if all goes well. Yippee.

I do not have time to read all of the 757 posts here- sorry. But to all those who are ill or hurting - thoughts and prayers for a speedy turnaround. To everyone who had a birthday - hope they were fun and fulfilling. I'm sure you all had fun swapping, too. Happy Easter everyone!!

And specially for Krystyna - I hope your post-Katrina life is looking up and that things are improving for you!! Will you go back into your veil business?

    Take care, all.
