I took the class last week and LOVED quilting in the longarm, Friday will be my first real quilt session. I am just going to be using free motion, no pnatographs or complicated designs. I am not that sew-talented, and I thought free motion quilting on the longarm is so much easier than my machine at home and so much more enjoyable.

As I am told, it'll take about three to four hours to quilt a queen size with an all over design. If you have the opportunity, I urge you to try it, I personally loved it.

I am renting a longarm to quilt my first bed quilts on Friday
Candi have you quilted on a long arm before? There is a quilt shop in my area that rents their long arm and offers classes on how to use it. I want to take a few of my quilts with me to quilt on the long arm.

I wonder how difficult it is to use and how long does it take to quilt one quilt (lap size) on a long arm.

    LOL

Good morning swappers. I have been so busy you wouldn't believe. I never thought having a little farm would take up so much of my time.

Things seem to be running smoothly with this swap. Only a week and a half to send out packages. 'm sending mine out Friday and ti is going wayyyyyy north of me.

Nice looking packages everyone has received.

Liz aka Helen was incredibly clever. I live in the UK so she bought a collection of gorgeous coloured thread, 30 reels of it, from an Ebay seller in London and had it sent direct to me.

It was really surprising when it arrived and I could not work out who had sent it, until Liz aka Helen pm'd me.

What was even more surprising was that this beautiful thread came from a short distance from where my son lives. How about that for coincidence?

It is late here, but I promise that as soon as I can, I will post a picture of these lovely threads.

Thank you Liz aka Helen. It was an incredible surprise.

I was bidding on those threads on Ebay also. Well if your SP was the one who won them for this swap, I can say I am glad I lost that bidding war.

Hope my SP will let me know if she got her pkg.
Roseysue, maybe your SP and family are on vacation. I live in FL and we have LOTS of spring breakers down here now, give her/him a little more time then maybe they'll be home and she'll get her "happy"
Thanks for your encouragement. The confirmation looked like it was delivered, but maybe not
. I was kinda worried because it was LA and ther was a toronado there last weekend and I don't know if it was her area or not.
So I'm worried more about her and her family than my little package. That's why I pm'ed her, hoping at least she would see that.

Since no response, I am concerned.
I guess I just have to wait and hope for the best for her.
