    I am extremely concerned that I will get my SP stuff that she will enjoy. She stated that she has been doing these for a while and knows what she likes and doesn't. Can you please pray for me to find the right stuff for her. Thx. Melinda

    oh melinda dont stress the small stuff. you will do just fine getting your sp package together. if you put together a package that you yourself would like to receive, then your sp will surely find something in it she/he will like. there are easy general things to put in a package such as machine needles or hand sewing needles, seam ripper, small scissors, glue sticks, note pads, basic color threads (i.e. black, white, tan), quilt pins, quilt patterns (especially when they go on sale for $1 at the fabric stores), quilt magazines that you may have that you can recycle, hand sanitizers, note cards, chap sticks, small hand lotions. a lot of these things can be bought at the dollar store. some of the fabric stores have dollar bins where you can pick up quilty/sewing things. and perhaps you can pick one or two things from their list specific to them to round out their package. you can also include things like packages of teas or hot chocolates if they list these as favorite drinks. also if you make handmade things you could include something like pincushions, thread catchers, pot holders, needle books, bookmarks.

    if it will help any, please look through past sp swaps and see what type things swappers are sending to their pals. this is a fun swap and we do not want anyone stressed about putting together packages for their pals. have fun with this swap and you will do just fine.

    another idea is to look at previous posts of your secret pal and see if he/she mentions things they like or if you can find posts for previous swap packages to get some idea. it really isnt too hard to put together a nice swap package. just do a little snooping and i bet you will find plenty of things to choose from to send your pal.

    welcome to this really fun monthly swap.

    I second that DON"T worry to much MELINDA: everyone seems to be very grateful for ANY GOODIES they receive! The goal is to have fun... if someone is really pciky, they ought not to participate , but I bet she/he will enjoy eveything you put into your SP.PKG..... Did you get a chance to attend the SEW EXPO at the fairgrounds??? I went yesterday... it seems bigger and better this yr. Have a great weekend!

    And its March forget the CHICKENS and the Monkeys, where are the Leprachans, rainbows and the POTS o GOLD!!!
    Krystyna dig the chicken bone out of the trash and glue it back on and send the shoes out(Not going back to check who was crying for the cute shoes--sorry its past my bedtime);
    Crossing fingers for all the job seekers including interviewee Mooretll;
    And healing prayers for Lori and anyone else who needs them God knows who you are.
    and Melinda and any other newbie to the swap Like the others said its about fun and everyone likes getting their package.

    I got my SP's name. Low and behold, I have had her before!! That is the only hint I will give right now. Tomorrow I'm off to the Sew Expo. Maybe I'll pick up something for her! (Ooops, another hint!)
