You can either donate a 9" x 12" (or smaller) quilt on your own or you can send them to me and I'll do all the paperwork and send them off together. Just let me know if you'd like to participate in the challenge. I'm trying to think of a prize drawing for those who participate in this optional challenge. Anyone game?

When is the mailing deadline for these quilts?

    Hi Chele,
This is a tough one. They don't seem to get that much $$ for some amazing work. I think I would prefer to send the organization a check in this case, and pursue my other quilting.I do admire your good intentions. Tough call.

Myrna, the deadline for the Alzheimer's donation quilts is June 1.

And no problem, Dotty. I understand. Maybe if this organization gets some more attention the sales will be higher. They really do have some neat quilts for sale and up for auction.

What is the due date for my partner's quilt?
The workmanship on this site is truly inspiring and so is the generosity! Proud to have signed up. Dotty

Quilts should be mailed by May 31. If you run into any snags, just communicate with your partner. You can find more details for the swap on the first page of this thread.

I'm very excited about this swap! I just need to finish the binding on the back of mine and it will be ready to ship.

I'm already looking forward to the next swap.

Try sewing on two machines at the same time-one on the left with the left foot and one on the right with the right foot, you get alot of strip piecing done that way! Moosegirl
    Do you really do that?
Yes, usually as a joke at a quilt meeting or retreat but I have practiced a rhythm and can strip sew fairly well on both machines -mostly for charity quilts. Moosegirl

I'll make a quilt to donate to the Alzeimers organization and send it to you. Is there a date when it has to be in your hands?
