know i'm always pushing for 'odd' themes, but how about any shape but square (or rectangular)? we could call it out -of-the-box picnic. or something musical, like A tune for June. or "summertime and the living is easy". except some of our members are having winter. other ideas?

also, does anyone here do watercolor quilts? i bought a book, but i would love an experienced partner., tia, nanci

My goodness. You ladies are having way too much fun. SIgh. How nice to know some people on the board that you can pal around with and brainstorm for ideas. I am off to start on my crazy quilt. Picking out material......that is the fun part.

Well, I am 99% finished with my quilt and I am so so excited by it! Thank you Krystyna for the theme this month! It is soooooo far from my norm, we are talking on another planet from my comfort zone! But I had sooooo much fun! I am brimming with ideas of things I want to try.. I will not be a purely traditional quilter after this one! Thanks for the nudge to step outside my bounds

I would love to see a swap with 30s fabrics as the theme. I am new to the swap, so I apologize if this was a recent theme ....I know that it is a totally traditional theme, when I just raved about being non-traditional, LOL. But I just think they are so incredibly pretty and I am a sucker for pretty

I agree that I too stepped out of my comfort zone and this was awesome!!! LOVE the crazy quilting...AND I too would love to do 30's fabric, especially over the summer...it just seems appropriate in summer for some reason

I am a busy little sewer & am working like crazy, on my crazy doll quilt top!! I am also stepping out of the norm & am adding some ribbon embroidery to it. Oh, I hope it turns out pretty!! I am sure my partner will be surprised!! At least I hope sooooooo.

I am so happy to hear that this is pushing your boundaries a little bit. There are lots of wonderful ideas popping around. I'll see what else has been posted on the group discussion area. I'm sure it will be fun!

Ok now I am going to add charms, to the doll quilt, just need to decide what type of charms.. actually I will have to make 2 of these, one to keep for myself...... This really is creative. I will have to post a photo. I think my partner will love it!
