louise, my apologies to ms. monster! i have all boy cats. the 2 female cats i had were just like kiko. love me, stop. bite, but always very softly. my kids were taught to not pull back when the cat was biting them. weird thing to have to teach your kids! but if you didn't pull away she would just let go.

I am in for a relaxing June. I have garden work to be doing when hand heals. I am working hard on the crazy patch squares and then making my Mother's Day cards on the embroidery machine. Can't afford to buy nice gifts so will make the card for them to add extra sentiment. Better than spending $5 per card and having to use what they have available. Trying to decide which crazy patches to put into the DQ, I like them all. The embroidery machine and I are being close friends right now.

QuilterMomma - I know what you mean, about the cards.

I generally make them something for birthdays and Mother's day.

I am going to do a "practice" run on a crazy quilt block embroidery
design I have to see what it looks like, IF I like it better than my
other plan I will go with it, but if not I will keep with my other idea.

I REALLY need to start making better use of the 100k + embroidery
designs I have and stop getting more LOL.

But to me they are worse than "Lay's" potato chips, with the chips
I can eat just a few and be done, but when I see design I like well
I just "HAVE" to add them to my collection.

Know what you mean by wanting an embroidery machine for this swap. Or at least a machine that does more than about six stitches. Used all of them on the first block. So I'm going to be visiting Pintangle for the stich directory lessons. But I have the chaos thing down pat--see?

My husband would have my behind if I had a mess like that, which you know he does on a normal basis, that looks like my garage right now where my main fabric stash is. I have to keep my sewing area in the family room tidy because his fellow worker shows up everyday and would see my mess. I do have three quilts out right now and one is the crazy patch but I have containers of scraps so they look "organized", right. Love the chaos.
