    I totally agree with this idea....as a matter of fact, I actually bought one of the quilts that was made by someone who participated in the "ugly fabric" swap!!! I love the quilt!...here is a link to a pic, scroll down and it is the blues, tans alphabet theme quilt by JenniePenny:
