lynnie I went to the website and looked at those watches and they are so pretty! I guess I will have to wait until I am back at work though (or win the lottery!). I started knitting an afghan for my son when he was in high school and it was supposed to be for graduation, now I'm hoping to get it done before he graduates from college!

Hello everyone.
Dear Scrapper I am so sorry to hear about your husband. My husband would come first too. I am sure we all feel that way too with our families.
You are all great folks, and Lauriejo is our help in all things.
We are all thankful for our host.
Lauriejo is it harder to knit than crochet? Someone showed me a bit many years ago, but I haven't done any since. I would be learning all over again. I do a bit of crochet.
Lynnie sounds great with the hexies. I am thinking more about them, and maybe a bigger project. I over think things sometimes before getting started, but I am trying to get over that and just jump in and get more done.
Have a great day everyone.

I was all excited when the weather was going to be 71. It is now 78 and starting to get humid.
Lynnie the dewpoint is the temp at which water vaper becomes saturated and water droplets form. In other words the higher the dewpoint the more humid it is.
I just emailed Lauriejo and I'm in for 2 pincushions
Have a great day

Beautiful flowers ladies. It always looks strange to see sleet on green grass RedGarnet. Hope you both didn't lose any flowers. My iris and such are so full thus year. They are starting to die already. Susan I crochet and can do some straight knit and purl stiches. I think crocheting is easiest and therefore quickest for me. My mom did both and liked knitting best and was very fast at it.

Mary, I agree, crocheting is so mach faster than knitting. but i would love hand knit socks. oh and mittens too.
Those iris are beautiful. I need to plant some at my house for next year. My hostas seem to have taken over
everything in my front yard. Red, am i to assume that all that white is hail???? Oh my goodness. We get hail here sometimes but only about the size of peas.
The wood watches are as light as a feather. I got the one with the crystals on the dial. it was my birthday/mother's day gift from my son. I love it. need to get it made smaller, will do that tomorrow. it's cool here now about 62. everyone have a great night. Scrapper, hope your husband is doing better.

Mary I grew up seeing mom crochet. She never knitted, but I will watch some of those shows on tv like Little House on the Prairie or the Waltons, and see even the little ones knitting, and it gets to me every time. lol... I will think surely it must not be that hard. I forget though that back then they weren't watching my shows today, and were doing all these different needle skills both out of necessity, and passing the time with family.
Those pictures are nice. I love those flowers, but it is something else seeing the hail on them in that last pic.
