Wow that is a LOT of different fabrics for one small piece! now you have me rethinking MY selection. I pulled four fabrics and was going to decide on three of them.. now I see a dozen and think maybe its too simple... argh! ok will think about it again.

I will most likely do some applique as I don't really have a good grass fabric. darn it! I think applique is beyond a challenge for me. don't know why either.. perhaps its because I say its not going to be fun and therefore is not much fun? and now I see someone has found a pattern that no one will have.. maybe I need to go searching myself. if only I could go to the quilt store! will have to go to my quilt store in the other room instead. you guys are super creative. In awe is what I am in.. in awe.

Saturday we went to our last grandchilds graduation. It was a perfect day. It was sad and happy because I know there won't be anymore school activities for me to take part in. My son and family live just 8 mi. west of Lincoln, Ne. I'm trying to figure how many miles I have driven since their daughter was in high school. I followed all of her sports and school activities and then the 2 boys were after Casey. I have thanked God over and over for blessing me with 20 yrs. of safety on the road. Not even a flat tire any car trouble. Is that being blessed or what. I now that HE was riding in that car with me. It's a 2 hr. drive. I'm just going to have to get into some heavy duty quilting now and get all grandkids a quilt made. I haven't heard from my partner yet so am getting a little concerned. Hope she is ok. Jakes other grandma made him a t shirt quilt made out of his high school t-shirts that have all the different activities on the front of the shirt. It is a wonderful quilt. She made our granddaughter Casey one and also made one for Nick(grandson). Well think I'll go back to the sewing room and do a few more things before heading to bed. All have a great night.

I can not quilt at night. I envy those that can. oh I am awake. just cant see real well in the dark so I put it to the mornings when I am fresh and can keep up with it good for you that still can. wow. I read about people like you! here even. lol.

I got a lot of pieces cut yesterday and a lot of them even sewn. about 18 little tiny half square triangles now to put them to use! I got this idea and well its sticking so I might have to make more of those but darn it is a bit of work cutting and sewing 1.5 inch squares! that is all I am telling you Cheesehead! I am in fact making my first quilt using things that small. usually go 2.5 inches and think I am nuts well I am over the top nuts now! grin. hope to finish this week. just not today ... rest day for me but Wed is right ahead on the horizon

So, I showed my finished May mini to some friends for the usual feedback (to stroke my ego of course!) and one of my DEAR friends said it looked like an alien. Sigh.
Some days it doesn't pay to go looking for compliments..... I sure hope my partner doesn't think I was being weird. I mean really, really off center! Time will tell.

Brat, my sewing room is lit up so bright at night that you could see it from space! thats the only way i can sew at night! Ceiling light that has 3 bright bulbs, 3 Ott lights on and the bright sewing machine light. Better than daylight!

Miz, you've got my curiosity up. Cant wait to see what you've done.

I have all my pieces cut and a bit sewn. I have used a little of each of my floral reproductions (I think 43 different fabrics) Now what to use as my background?

I'm finally starting on mine. I've always done applique but this time decided to piece it. We shall see what it looks like.
