I have some crushed walnut shells and used them a couple times. But, you have to remember the weight when you mail. It's ok if you send it in a priority "if it fits, it shIps" package where weight doesn't count. Other than that, it could add extra postage.

I couldn't wouldn't be able to get it to the car either, hubby picked it up for me. They may have smaller bags other places...just not here. This store is like a farm and ranch and carries the pet food and bedding materials. Seems like the bag was around $40 but don't quote me on that. Lots cheaper than buying it online or in the quilt shops though. I just really lke it better on the pins.
You are right on that Karen, I use the small box flat rate for 5.95 and ship in those, but it does include confirmation number so I know it is received.

It looks like we started something with our beaded pins. It seems that a lot of others are including them in their packages in other swaps.

What a cute pup. It almost makes me want one--almost. Hot weather is here and it's too hot for me this soon. I am going to do yard sales today but it does seem cooler this morning. This afternoon going up to 86, hot and humid. I guess I'll have to break down and put the AC on. I did at least start on my swap but I'll be mailing it out next week.

    Everyone have a great day

What a cute little puppy. I have 4 so I know I don't need another. lol..

I will be going to see my dad this afternoon, and need to go by the post office. I didn't go anywhere yesterday. It was so hot. Today is too, but not quite as bad. I have to stay out of the sun when I can due to the lupus. Some more floppy hats are in order. lol...

I have still been working on my set. I am hoping to get it sent out by tomorrow, otherwise it will be Monday. I am having lots of fun working on it though.
