I had forgot this.....thanks for the wake up call Bonnie.

Surprise theme sounds okay for now, but no Doghouse, 4th of July, or Outhouse themes..what about yourself, what theme are you wanting?
I know you requested blues, earth tones, happy colors, but are you wanting a seasonal theme or a surprise me theme?

Surprise theme for both of us then sounds like the theme to go with. :)

This will be fun. Now to go and find out what colors you wanted again and figure out how to work them into a small wall hanging.

Lindyline and I have decided to "Surprise" each other with a handmade project. I have seen some of Lindyline's past projects and they are so beautiful. We both had a shop hop planned and I was able to find some fabrics in her favorite colors I am now deciding what to make for my dear Australian quilting friend. I have a few appointments this week but will try to post a few clues once I get started.

Surprises are fun! Cissie - I have made up my mind on what your wall hanging will be. :) Hope you will like it. You like muddy yellow brown, right? Just joking on that. I'll take a pix of the fabric or first selection of fabrics for you to think over what it might be. :)

Hey CCTX! Here's your first hint of what to expect when I finish your project. It will be applique and here is the fabric. The first is blues; the second is cream colored and green (it's hard to tell on those).

    Looks good to me Bonnie.
I've got yours put together and sewn, but will quilt it by next week and mailing out after the 10th of next month.

WOW! You're a busy bee! I don't think yours will be done that quickly so no problem. I *am* hoping that with a holiday weekend right around the corner that I might make great headway into it though. Glad you liked the colors.

Ok - well as I said, "thanks to Bonni" I now have my first block designed. Well it's designed on paper and needs some balancing but it's done :)

Now to figure out what to do for number 2. I do have a few ideas running through my head (poor Lucymae) I would like to get them done this 3 day weekend. Seriously hoping to set Monday aside as a quilting day.

Have mine at the binding stage. Thankfully this on will go much quicker than last months that had the sawtooth edge!
