That is beautiful VaNella! Katie always does wonderful work. I love the fabric choices. Great contrast.

Thanks you girls. I liked these colors so much that at my quilt club here in town we are going to make a scrappy quilt where everyone makes 20 blocks (very easy ones) and I decided to use these colors. The dark color in the block isn't black, it's a dark blue, kind of marbled. And I just know that as I see more blocks with different colors, I'm going to love them all and have to make something similiar. ie: purples, greens, reds blues you get the picture.

Well done! It's quite striking. I might have to try that block. LOL.

Oops, I'm back to the drawing board! I made my circles way to small for the the 12 1/2 inch block. They are only 2 inchies in diameter. Sooo I think I'll finish this as a 6 1/2 inch block for practice and try again. I was hoping to mail tomorrow, but this little glitch will push it back a week. (I can do handwork, but won't be able to cut the blocks down and sew the block until next Tuesday.)

It's been quiet around here lately. How is everybody doing on the blocks? Can't wait to see pictures.

I am still a bit behind. I have made the circles for my drunkard's path and have appliqueed 4 of them. I hope to finish by Wednesday or so. This time I went with a 3 inch circle. Crossing my fingers it will work out right this time.

I won't be mad if it isn't finished on time, life gets in the way sometime, so just send it when you finish it. We'll still be friends :)

Mine wasn't perfect. And I think it was easier to do than the drunkard path. I haven't tried that yet. I'm chicken, but it is on my list of "you have to learn that".
