thanks Andrea, figured it would be quicker to make a music theme than run around trying to find fabric!

I had some Christmas ones and I made 4-patch blocks out of them. I put two, right sides together, and sewed 1/4 inch down two opposite sides. Then I cut them in half down the middle. I did the same for two more. Then I mixed the two sets, laid two of the blocks right sides together matching the seams down the middle. I sewed across the two ends (across the ends with center stitched line) and cut those in half down the middle and you end up with a 4 1/2 inch 4-patch block. Hope this helps.

    Was that clear as mud?

Third row, last block on the right - I love it. Was that paper pieced? Can anyone give me some information on that block? I would love to make one.

I like sewing the charms into pinwheels. ,The result looks great. I also use them for snowballs.

I have been making blocks all week in free time. I am almost caught up on swaps. I thought I'd get out today for treats and post office, but air pump on car went bad, so it is at garage. I spent most of day today putting fabric back in shelves where it belongs. I can see progress in sewing room even if no one else can. Hope to get these mailed before end of week.

To my swap partner and all the Extra partners- I have been out of town with the grandkids. I'll be back this weekend and can start on the blocks next week.

The grandkids are fun - ages 15 months, eighteen months, 2 and a half and three and a half but no time for quilting or reading on the internet.
    Thanks for being patient ;) ;) ;)
