I'm new to this swap but I have a question... Do people need to confirm each month that they are "in" for that month? Seems like that would eliminate this problem of people not being able to get in touch with partners. If only confirmed players were paired up each month, wouldn't that make it go a lot smoother?

That being said, if anyone needs a partner this month, due to partner non-response, I am available to do an extra swap.

To answer your question, most of these ladies have been in this swap for forever. A lot of them don't get on the computer daily so sometimes the month kinda slips by, but eventually they'll answer. Unless I hear directly from them, they are included each month. As long as they do contact their partner at some point, and blocks are mailed before end of month, they are included in the swap. IF anyone wants to take advantage of doing extra blocks, that's fine. Just post as you did, and sometimes they will contact you. This is the way this swap has been done for years.
