Second block, bottom row. Usually done scrappy, half square triangles, and each square has a light side and dark side. You can find it on Quilters Cache....I guess it was called "depression" because it can be made with scraps

Difergie, this is wonderful! So many parts to love! I'm a big depression block fan, had and adored scotties and numerous cats. Love the center and the stars too. But it's the paw prints that really kick it into high gear for me. Beautiful. Congratulations on a fabulous original piece!

Shoot, I almost missed the outhouse. Love the whimsy!

Leftovers, you say? DONE, I say. I needed one block to complete it and my partner this month asked for a depression block, and heck if you make one of those, you might as well make two. One for her and one for me! I am sure some of you may have made one of these blocks. Check, check, check, off my list. Smiley face.....

For those of you with "free time"- ha!- there is a one day mystery quilt on About Quilting.com.
I cut my pieces and I do not think the yardage is accurate, but I'll give it a try. I loved watching football at Syracuse U.,
but the reports of brain trauma diminish my pleasure.

I was able to hobble down the stairs today and made my blocks for lovngrandma. Felt good to be in the sewing room for the first time in two weeks
