Since we're talking about babies, here's a baby quilt I made for a co-worker's soon-to-be first granddaughter. I have it on the bed, on top of another quilt, because I couldn't get a photo of the whole quilt when I put it on the table. And I decided against putting it on the floor! So the baby quilt ends with the pink borders & green binding!

Psychomomquilter,
Hope you keep feeling better. Brat's surgery actually didn't work. Hopefully she'll get some good news on what's next to help her feel better.
Ctyankee,
That lil baby quilt is so cute! I know your co-worker will be thrilled to get it!
Yes, we feel so blessed to have our dgd, and dgs. And at the formal adoption, my granddaughter just beamed when the judge said her full name and it "matched" her daddy, mommy, lil brother.
Her favorite color is purple, she had a lil purple dress, and my son wore a matching purple dress shirt and tie. The judge commented to my son that it looked like his daughter had "dressed him". We all laughed. Wonderful memories...

Love that "Mister Stud Muffin" onesie, Louise! I like your super power, too.
I don't have any interesting show and tell stuff to photograph for you all... I've spent the past several days organizing four boxes full of scraps, fabric, and strips that were given to me. It was such a blessing, but also tons of work. So the photo would be of my organizer drawers full to the brim of piles of strips! I had to recut most of the strips into my standard sizes, and also into some squares for candy swaps. Now I'm ready for some strip quilting and some with tons of squares, such as a scrappy double Irish Chain. I could sew for years off of this stuff!
Tracking info tells me my swap box is at my partner's post office tonight, so I hope it's delivered to her tomorrow. Be on the lookout for a box, Dee.

Patchesnposies -- yes, that's a tumbling blocks quilt.
Sewbizgirl -- yes, the quilt underneath is a scrappy log cabin. I just love scrappy quilts -- they're so much fun to make! This one has a funny story. I made it in 1996, when we were living in Ireland. Last year I stumbled upon it again, noticed it was mostly quilted but the edges on one side had turned under & it was quilted that way!(Explains why it was in my UFO pile!) So I lamented for a while -- should I take out the quilting? I shuddered at the very thought! So I did the next best thing -- I hacked off that part of the quilt & whatever was wrong on a second side, & put the binding on! My supervisor says finished is better than perfect (she's not talking about quilting, just anal tendencies) -- but she was right! It's wonky, but I still love it!

By the way, the wonky log cabin is the same quilt Arthur is laying under in my avatar. And, Patchesnposies, yes, the baby quilt was given to my co-worker last Thursday. She loves it & says there's a family thing coming up shortly (baby due in March) & I guess that's when she's giving it to mom-to-be.
