The greens are just my type. Your mug rug reminds me of a walk in the woods. Lovely swap.

Love what you got in your swap, Letsquilt!! Beautiful stuff.
I got married in 1985, my one and only time. I was 29 before I found the right one! Hubby and I lived on Maui and had a very inexpensive wedding at the Kula Botanical Gardens, outside and halfway up the big mountain that makes up more than half of the island. We could see the island and ocean all around it down below us! The most beautiful place to say our "I do"s. Then we went to a local community center for the reception. My Dad paid for all the food and the great cooks in our church made it all. They cooked way too much, and the next day, Sunday, were able to treat the whole church to a big meal, on us. This, while we were off on our wedding night at a fine hotel, that was gifted to us by our friends. We didn't go on our honeymoon for about a week. It was a long camping trip in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. Not a lot of money spent on any of it... but we were very happy.

Love hearing the wedding stories. it seems like us quilters are sensible when it comes to spending money on a wedding. Maybe we'd rather spend it on fabric we can play with. So far, no bridzillas.
It like the girls now get a push present to have a baby, and from what I've heard, they are rather expensive gifts. and then there is the Babymoon they go on before the baby comes. those are like second honeymoons with all the trimming. A woman my dh works with is doing all of this. Look what we missed out on.
