I received my angles today as well. They are all so pretty. Thank-you everyone. Thank-you Jean for hosting.

Jean, are we now done with our quilting bee for this year now? Does this mean we no longer have blocks to make. Will you be hosting this site next year and the same way? I’m going to be going through quilting bee block withdrawl now. LOL

I just came home from work and I had angels in my mailbox! They are all so pretty, what a creative bunch of people we have here. I am going to post pictures tomorrow in the daylight.

Jean - thank you so much for doing this, it has been so much fun. I appreciate all the time you put in the Bee and I really learned so much. I am a much better quilter than before I joined.

I'm so glad you all are receiving them. Be interesting to see how you set them. To answer the question, Happylab, no there will be no more blocks this year. I usually take December off. We will see what happens next year, but you all will be the first to hear. The Bee has been my 'baby' for over 4 yrs, I've tried my best to keep things interesting. I'm glad you've enjoyed it this year.

    Merry Christmas to all.

    Hugs
    Jean

Oooh! How exciting!! Mine haven't arrived yet, but I'm in a bit of a rural area. Hopefully tomorrow!! (I'm headed out of town for the night though, so I might not see them until Saturday. That will be a fun homecoming surprise! )

So glad you are all enjoying the angels. Your are welcome for the extra bits...that was fun. Ben Franklin had the perfect ribbon and buttons!

I "met" Jan on QB and since this past February helped her with medical visits, because she had no family nearby. Last evening Jan lost her battle with an infection. She has mentioned here that she was on chemo for a good part of this year (a number of comments about her "chemo brain"). Her immune system was very compromised, even though she completed her cancer treatment at the end of September and was just on maintenance meds. She was hospitalized November 6 and moved to hospice earlier this week. Her beloved dogs, who were her world, have a new home together with a local family.

Jan found a home here on QB, and all of you who interacted with her brightened her days.
Oh I'm so sorry to hear about Jan. Your story though just warms my heart that friends here in cyber space can become our friends and helpers in real life. What a blessing. She will be missed. I'm so glad the dogs have a new home.

Here are a couple of pictures. Most of you made holiday angels, so I am sorry if my snow angels do not work into your wall hanging. I found this to be a fun for my first time doing applique and my first block exchange. I was not sure what to expect, and everyone exceeded my expectations, so thank you all!

Your angels worked in just fine, I loved them. The original was Christmas theme, but it was changed! (not by me)...so Winter or Christmas fabrics were fine. They all worked well together, I think. Thanks for posting a picture.

My beautiful angels arrived home today. I love every single one of them! Thank you, Ladies, for sharing with me. After the Christmas rush, I plan to make a little Christmas quilt with them for my 3 yr. old great-granddaughter. She will love them.
Jean, thank you so much for hosting for us this year. I've really enjoyed joining in with all of you. I can't wait to see what you come up with for next year.
    Merry Christmas, Everybody!
