Well, I am up and completely bummed. Spent the first two days of the week completely getting house cleaned up and yesterday ran all the errands and went grocery shopping in order to be able to spend all day today sewing and tomorrow hunting with DH and then more sewing. Woke up this morning with my back hurting and somthing pinching my what DH calls psychotic nerve. Its enough to make you go pyschotic. LOL Not sure sitting all day sewing is going to work but by golly Im gonna give it a try. After all didnt do all the other stuff just to sit here and do nothing. SS, hope I can sit and sew most of the day. Your handmade items are on the agenda. Off I go to see how things will go.

I'd love to hear how you decorate for the holidays, if different from the snowy areas.
Artificial trees work a treat, But our best trees are potted trees, brought inside & decorated. In 2003 we had Christmas camped on the beach. The tree was driftwood found on the beach and decorated with tinsel.

I rearranged my living room and don't have room for a tree on the floor so I'm going to buy a 4' tree and put it on the end table in front of the window. I think it will be quite nice! Now I'm thinking it should be a themed tree...maybe a quilt tree?

Hi - I have a porch attached to the front of my house!!! Is it me?????

Here are answers to some of the questions:
    1. favorite colors..... purple, teal, red, blue, green
    2. Tea or Coffee -- Neither - Diet Coke is my drink of choice.
    3. Reading: Definitely quilt magazines
    4. Posting: I love to read everyone's comments...then forget to post.
    5. Not a big fan of modern quilts or primitive. Don't know how to paper piece yet so I'm sticking with the traditional patterns.

We put up an artificial tree. We don't get a lot of snow, but I do enjoy decorating for Christmas. Last year I put up a tree in my studio to hold all the ornaments from the ornament swap & have left it up all year. Just didn't light it til the other day while I was making this years ornaments. Can't wait to get the new batch to add this year!
