Got my package yesterday . . . from the North Pole. No clues there.
It does make noise when you shake it. My GD got to it first and I ALMOST had an excuse for it being opened early . . . but I was good and stopped her.

I agree with what the others have said about USPS.com
If you create an online account you can save approximately .15+
per package on flat rate (not sure if there is a discount for NON
flat rate or not as I only use the flat rate if I am mailing packages
that I want a tracking number for.
And I order any and ALL the sizes of FREE flat rate boxes, and the
envelopes. Why not they are free, and I can almost be sure to have
the right size no matter what I am mailing (at least most the time).
There are 2 different styles of medium and large flat rate boxes I get
them all, never know when you will need a "longer" box.
You can even schedule for them to pick up the package if you so
wish (I normally do this). I love the pickup service because there
are times when I just do not feel like going to the post office.
I DO go to the post office to request the "Priority Mail" packing tape
that they have (it is free but you have to ask for it). I wish they would
put that on the website for ordering also.

Unfortunately one of my items is 17 x 7 x 11 - so can't use the flat rate boxes....still digging around for a box that will work so I don't have to use one that's too big - or have to go buy one.....lordie - how cheap does that sound????

Phew! I finally have my box ready for the post office. It has a long, long trip to go since I decided to send it via the scenic root. Going through so many states...hmmmm I wonder if people will put stickers on it as it makes its way to my SS????

Now, for my SSR, you package is finished, full as it can get, and sealed up. Not stating when its going out so noone can begin to figure out if I am their SS.

Lots going on here and lots to read. Honestly most of the time I don't know what you are talking about but still enjoy reading it. Also not lots of time right now either. For my Santa sending too me I honestly really am not picky at all except I don't like thin material. Tears too easy. Other than that I am good with as anything. Also my favorite thread is Gutermann. Hope mine likes her package I may or may not still be getting together. OFF to karate class!

Use a flat rate box for the rest of the stuff...ship the odd size one separately? Whatever is more reasonable...
